Fall River police have made arrests in connection with vandalism that took place late last month at the Fall River Veterans Memorial Bicentennial Park.

On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, detectives assigned to the Major Crimes Division identified and charged two of the individuals responsible for vandalizing the Iwo Jima War
Memorial on January 27, 2024, at Bicentennial Park.

Two 17-year-old males have been arrested and charged with vandalizing a war/veteran’s memorial.

Detectives are in the process of identifying the remaining individuals involved.

Along with the Iwo Jima Memorial, a plaque and granite base were also vandalized near the entrance of the park.
