Fall River Police is investigating a shooting on Rock Street that claimed the life of an 18-year-old male.

On Thursday, March 14, 2024, at approximately 11:40am, the Fall River Police Department received multiple calls reporting shots fired in the 100 block of Rock Street.

Upon arrival, Officers located an 18-year-old male, who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was treated on scene and transported to a local trauma center, where he would later succumb to his injuries.

The incident is being investigated by the Fall River Police Department Major Crimes Division in collaboration with the State Police Detective Unit.

The Department has activated post crime impact teams, who will remain in the immediate area for the next several days. We have requested that our partners from the Massachusetts State
Police Community Action Team expend some resources in the area as well. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Major Crimes Division at 508-324-2796.

Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office, Fall River Police, and Homicide Unit prosecutors are actively investigating a homicide, which occurred in Fall River earlier today.

Fall River Police responded to the area of Rock and Franklin Streets around 11:41 am today for reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as Colus Jamal Mills-Good, 18, of Fall River, was rushed to Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation into the homicide is extremely active and no further information about the facts of the probe can be disseminated at this time. If and when arrests are made, this office will send out a follow-up media announcement.
