Local Business Owner Unlocks Opportunities for Adults with Autism

A local business owner is giving back to the community by providing employment and enrichment opportunities to adults with autism.

Five years ago, Don Lambert worked with several autistic adults at a local theatre group. They were looking for local employment. So Don hired them as part of a t-shirt-making company located on Pleasant Street.

Mr. Lambert didn’t stop there. He used his experience in local theatre to create an inclusive theatre company called Theatre Rats.

Mr. Lambert continues to seek community partnerships to expand his support of those with autism.

Special thanks to our FRCMedia work-study student Sean Richard who conducted the interview and gathered all the video in the piece.
