Fall River Mayoral Candidate Paul Coogan pulled in 8,273 votes in yesterday’s preliminary election to take the lead over Incumbent Mayor Jasiel Correia who came in a distant second with 2,777 votes. At Scottie’s pub after the polls closed at 8:00 p.m., Coogan gave his victory speech, saying it’s time to end the corruption he feels is ongoing in the city, adding there is still work to do to win the November 5th final election:

The third mayoral candidate Erica Scott-Pacheco came in third place just behind Correia with 2,171 votes.
