The 50th anniversary of the Braga Bridge is coming to a close, and AHA! Fall River is kicking off its spring/summer programming with a a party marking the year long end of the celebration.

On Thursday, April 20, a gigantic replica of the Braga Bridge, made from balloons, will be the centerpiece of the festivities taking place at Government Center, said Sandy Dennis, organizer of AHA! in Fall River with her husband, David Dennis. “It will span almost the whole atrium inside Government Center, she added. Time: 5 to 8 p.m. with free admission.

In addition to Fall River balloon artist Chip Rascal’s awe-inspiring artistry with balloons, festivities taking place inside and outside Government Center include jugglers and Mr. Vinny the “Bubble Guy.” Dennis also has a couple hundred cupcakes on order for the celebration at Government Center.

The party will have a tropical theme with a steel drum band and tropical party goodies for kids. There will be plenty of crafts and activities, as well as a cotton candy machine and free popcorn.
