The One SouthCoast Chamber of Commerce this week held its annual Women’s Forum featuring former Massachusetts Lt. Governor Karyn Polito.
Ms. Polito and former Governor Charlie Baker visited Fall River and the SouthCoast quite often during their eight years in office and marveled at the physical characteristics of the region.
The former Lt Governor praised the people of the SouthCoast for their work ethic to take the ability to take advantage of the opportunities that come with a changing economy…attributes that led her to buy a home here.
During the Q&A session following her talk the former Lt. Governor was asked about her political future. She said she is happy serving on corporate boards and watching her college-aged children play sports. Ms. Polito was once a select board member in the Town of Shrewsbury and a state representative before being elected Lt. Governor in 2014.
