Jeff Belanger Brings ‘New England Legends’ to the Library

The Fall River Public Library Foundation hosts Jeff Belanger, the Emmy-nominated host of New England Legends on PBS and Amazon Prime, on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 6 pm. This live, multimedia presentation will take the audience on a journey to the strange and spooky side of life as Jeff explores local legends.

A ghost hunter, folklore researcher, and professional storyteller, Jeff Belanger is the author of more than a dozen books, including Weird Massachusetts and The Encyclopedia of Haunted Places. He is also known for his popular TV series and podcast, exploring the haunted, paranormal, and just plain weird side of New England life and history.

This free program begins at 6 pm in the library’s meeting room and runs through approximately 7:30 pm. It is recommended for adults and older teens. There will be time for questions from the audience. Jeff’s books will also be for sale at the event.

Because space is limited, we are asking people to sign up ahead of time. Please call the library circulation desk at 508-324-2700, ext. 2. Only two signups per call.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the Fall River Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
