Library Hosts Voices Unheard Concert

On Thursday, March 26th, at 6 pm, the library will be hosting the classical chamber ensemble Voices Unheard. The concert will be led by an incredibly talented brass quintet under the direction of the ensemble’s Assistant Director, Maddi Gibberson. This event is free to the public, and no registration is required.

Voices Unheard strives to celebrate and promote the different ways that women contribute to the musical world. They operate under three major pillars: music of women in history’s past, the
music of today’s female composers, and cultivating a future for women’s music of the future. They utilize funding to commission works by promising upcoming women composers. Women
historically have struggled to access the same resources as their male counterparts in this field, and this ensemble seeks to provide the resources that a young professional would need to get their foothold in the field of music composition. To learn more about the ensemble, check out
