The Fall River Arts and Culture Coalition (FRACC) has created a grant program focused on educating and funding individual local artists.

Executive Director Ashley Occhino says the Ignition Fund is a pilot program using state funds to advance the work of 10 local creatives.

Three information sessions on applying to the Ignition Fund will be held on Tuesday, January 10, one in-person at noon and another virtually that evening. The third will be held Saturday, January 14 also virtually. The deadline to apply is January 20. More information is available on the FRACC website, thefracc.org.

Along with the funding, the project will include a series of open community workshops preparing artists on how to plan for applying for assistance.
