The One SouthCoast Chamber of Commerce and Bristol Community College this week held an event on how businesses can integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives within their workplace.
Gail Fortes, executive director of the YWCA of Southeastern Massachusetts is a member of the chamber’s DEIB committee. She says diversity initiatives can only be successful if everyone within the organization commits to them.
Helena Moronta is the DEI officer at BayCoast Bank. She says it’s important that employees are encouraged to promote open dialogues with employees.
