As summer comes to a close, students planning to attend BCC in the fall are gearing up to get ready for the first day of classes.
Marissa Lopes is one such student. The 19 year old is signing up today at the main campus in Fall River. The 19 year old New Bedford resident tells frcconnect.org that she is nervous, but excited to attend college after having had been graduated from New Bedford Vocational Technical High School this past June.
“I’m leaving some friends behind, and this will be a new experience, but I’m excited to be continuing my educational endeavors,” she says.
Marissa plans to study health services, and ultimately wants to become a radiologist after earning a doctoratal degree.
