After a two-plus year hiatus caused by the pandemic, the city has welcomed back its weekly indoor farmers market.
The market is organized by Mass in Motion Fall River. Coordinator Sarah Labossiere says the market, held at the Cardinal Medeiros Towers, is an extension of the outdoor markets held each spring, summer and fall.
The market is another opportunity for those receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to receive free produce through the state’s Healthy Incentives Program (HIP).
Ms. Labossiere says HIP allows those who don’t normally purchase healthy food to do so.
The indoor farmers market takes place every Friday at Cardinal Medeiros Towers from 11 am to 2 pm. Ms. Labossiere says the market will continue for as long as local farmers have products to sell.
