The Fall River School Committee plans to meet in regular session tonight, February 3rd to hammer out the details of an RFP in a bid to begin the search for a new school superintendent.
According to Committeewoman Melissa Panchley Karem, her colleague Mark Costa has come up with the initial draft which the committee will consider during tonight’s session.
“Although we all have a copy of the draft, we cannot discuss the particulars with each other out of session,” Karem-Panchley says. “We are holding a special session tonight to discuss possible revisions.”
Current Superintendent Meg Mayo-Brown is leaving at the end of this fiscal year on June 30th when her contract expires to take an equivalent position with the Barnstable School Department.
The school committee meeting is open to the public. The session, to be held at Morton Middle School at 1135 North Main Street.
