Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan addressed the membership of the One SouthCoast Chamber of Commerce yesterday to provide an update on the state of local business across Fall River.
The mayor said there is a new buzz surrounding Fall River as it’s been able to put more money into its reserve fund and seen a rise in revenue from new construction. He spotlighted the upcoming re-launch of SouthCoast Rail this summer and the prospects of development along the waterfront
The mayor used much of his speech to highlight the growth of the commercial sector, primarily within the industrial park.
The mayor said small businesses are sprouting up across the city. His administration is focusing economic efforts downtown and in the Flint.
