As the March 6th special election to ask Fall River residents to vote “Yay” or “Nay” to a Proposition Two and a Half/Debt Exclusion override to help pay for a new B.M.C. Durfee High School draws closer, viewpoints continue to differ. School Committee Member Paul Coogan is a staunch supporter. He believes that despite the $98.5 million dollar cost the city will have to pick up for the construction project, a new building at the current Elsbree Street site is long overdue. Coogan stated this opinion during a recent FRC Media/Fall River Herald News sponsored forum:
