Fall River Mayoral candidate Gabriel Boomer Amaral says he will seek a recount of the votes in this week’s mayoral election. How will the recount work?
Fall River Election Commission Chair Ryan Lyons tells us the next steps Mr. Amaral needs to take to seek a recount.
Mr. Lyons says if the recount takes place, it will be administered by his staff and observed by representatives of the candidates, and will likely happen the week of November 17th.
Mr. Lyons went on to say that regardless of whether there’s a recount, there are stringent measures in place to ensure each election is conducted fairly.
