In light of potentially record low temperatures this weekend, Mayor Jasiel Correia has announced that a warming center will be provided for anyone in need at Government Center on Saturday, February 13th, and Sunday, February 14th. The Warming Center will be located in the cafeteria on the main floor of the building between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The National Weather Service is predicting potentially record low temperatures expected over the next two days, with the worst cold settling in over Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Temps are expected to fall to between minus 5 below to 5 above, with wind chills expected to fall as low as 25 below zero.
