As Memorial Day approaches, Fall River’s flag officer, Victor Farias, is looking for volunteers to place flags at the graves of veterans to recognize and honor their service.
Flags will be placed at Oak Grove Cemetery on May 18 and May 19 and at Notre Dame and St. Patick’s cemeteries on May 25 and May 26. Farias said that thousands of graves must be honored and as much help as possible is needed.
