Three Fall River nonprofits are looking for volunteer support as they give city children food for thought as well as food for lunch this summer.
Greater Fall River Re-Creation, Great Fall River Partners for A Healthier Community, and United Way of Greater Fall River will provide literary activities in conjunction with the city’s Summer Lunches in the Park program. Their goal: to prevent the loss of progress that studies show students can experience if they don’t engage in activities such as the social/emotional/literacy games and story time that will be offered.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and available for 45-minute shifts between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. from June 24 through August 21. For additional information, click here:
