Viva Fall River is using state tourism funds to let visitors know that Fall River has a lot to offer as a stop before they head to Cape Cod.
Viva Fall River Director Patti Rego says an average of 5.4 million cars pass through Fall River over the Braga Bridge each July and August and the Take 5 off 195 campaign looks to make the city a rest stop for visitors to explore the city’s history, food and attractions.
Ms. Rego says Take 5 off 195 will target visitors that are at least 50 miles away from Fall River. The campaign is being promoted on a billboard in Providence as well as through advertising and videos on social media and the Viva Fall River website.
Viva Fall River is also promoting the opening of its pop-up shop on the corner of South Main and Columbia Streets. Ms. Rego says the store is a showcase of products made by small businesses and entrepreneurs in Fall River.
Shop hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm; Thursday and Friday, from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. The store is closed Sunday and Monday.
