The United Way of Greater Fall River kicked-off its 73rd Annual Campaign Thursday, seeking to raise $1.1 million to support local non-profit organizations.
Executive Director Kim Smith says the ambitious fundraising goal for the 2020-2021 campaign is needed now more than ever as the region faces unprecedented challenges.
The first event of the year took place this weekend with United We Move – a walk, run or bike activity for individuals and groups held at the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve.
