The United Way of Greater Fall River will officially launch its 2021-2022 annual campaign Saturday morning with a health-focused event entitled United We Move.
It’s the second year of the bike, run and walk fundraiser held at the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve. United Way Communications Coordinator Meg Rogers says last year the event was spread out over four days due to COVID restrictions. She says this year over 200 entrants have already registered for the race and walk.
Walk-in registration will be available beginning at 7:30 am Saturday morning.
Executive Director Kim Smith says this is the organization’s 74th annual campaign and through the challenges of COVID, the community remains supportive.
The annual campaign will close in April with distribution allocation taking place in May.
