Monday was the final meeting of the Fall River School Committee for the year and current term. For three members of the board, it was their last meeting.
Vice-Chair Mark Costa is stepping down after serving 16 years on the board. He says he is proud of his time on the committee and working cooperatively with seven mayors and four superintendents during his tenure.
Costa says what he will miss most is being on hand to see Durfee seniors graduate and become successful, in part because of the Fall River Public School system.
Costa also says he is looking forward to focusing on his personal life but has not ruled out the possibility of making another run at political office.
Also serving their last meeting of the school committee are members Thomas Khoury and Joshua Heztler who step down after serving four years in office.
