The future growth and development of downtown Fall River was the focus last week of a forum hosted by the City, Viva Fall River, and the Redevelopment Authority.
Approximately 40 downtown business owners, non-profits and other stakeholders attended the event held in Government Center. The information and planning session is part of the MassDevelopment Transformative Development Initiative (TDI) project looking at ways to expand development and quality of life opportunities downtown. Patti Rego of Viva Fall River says the action forum sought ideas on how the TDI project can provide small business assistance and develop community programming for downtown.
Rego says the TDI project will be working with a consultant on implementing initiatives within the district’s Rapid Recovery Plan completed last year.
