Riders of the Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) will see an increase in fares beginning Friday, October 1. The fares will revert back to levels that were in place prior to the onset of COVID-19.
You can find a complete list of SRTA fares here. Administrator Erik Rousseau says along with savings for riders who purchase multi-ride passes, users of the MBTA Charlie Card for payment will also see benefits.
Masks are still required on all buses and the Authority continues to adhere to other COVID protocols around cleaning on buses and terminals.
Even though the community is learning to live through COVID, ridership numbers remains a concern.
Since early summer access to the Fall River bus terminal has been limited due to ongoing construction on the terminal’s station deck.
Rousseau is hopeful the construction will be complete before winter.
