The Fall River School Committee last night unanimously voted to approve the FY 2021 budget totaling $169.9 million.
At a special meeting of the school committee last night, the panel took less than 20 minutes to approve the budget, which funds local education at FY 2020 revenue levels. School superintendent Dr. Matthew Malone says the school district is fortunate to provide a budget not severely hampered by the effects of COVID-19.
Dr. Malone says the budget does not include any new capital projects. The spending plan will now go before the city council for adoption.
