The tourism and hospitality industries have been among the hardest hit during the pandemic.
In her role as chair of the House Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development Committee on Beacon Hill, State Representative Carole Fiola hopes to help bring them back strong.
Representative Fiola says when the pandemic hit, tourism and hospitality were the first to shut down and will likely be the last to recover.
Representative Fiola says the state budget for the coming year will likely fund all cultural and tourism–related requests, which will help support Fall River attractions such as Battleship Cove and other citywide arts initiatives. She goes on the say that further growth opportunities in arts and tourism exist with yet-to-be allocated federal COVID stimulus funds.
