Governor Charlie Baker was in Somerset yesterday to celebrate an agreement to utilize the former Brayton Point Power Plant site as a host to an offshore wind manufacturing facility.
The Prysmian Group will construct a facility to manufacture subsea transmission cables that will tie offshore wind turbines to the regional power grid. Prysmian vice president Hakan Ozman says this project provides a great opportunity for his company and the SouthCoast.
