If you’ve been downtown or near the Doran School this week you’ve likely seen the early stages of three murals being created as part of a project spearheaded by the Fall River Arts and Culture Coalition (FRACC). Two are on the Potters Printing building on Pocasset Street, formerly the home of the Herald News. The third is at the Doran School.

Portuguese artist Add Fuel is painting over the old Herald News logo and is incorporating traditional Portuguese tile design.

The other mural on the building is being created by artist Greg Pennisten. He plans to integrate the history of the city’s needle trades into his piece.

At the Doran School, portrait artist Kevin Ledo is creating a piece that partners with Doran students and those performing a similar mural project in Colombia.

All three murals are expected to be completed by July 31.
