Both councilors expressed appreciation in the support they have received from council leaders and their peers. And both were surprised by how city residents seek their assistance.

Public safety is a big priority for both councilors. Councilor Lee says he understands the defund police movement but believes city police set a positive example for all.

Councilor Peckham says he has been impressed by the leadership of the police department and wants to support their needs.
