Democratic State Representative Paul Schmid is looking to serve another two-year term in the 8th Bristol District. He will face Republican Evan Gendreau in the November 3rd State Election.

Representative Schmid is the dean of the local house delegation, having served in the legislature for ten years. He is proud of his record, particularly when it comes to supporting the Student Opportunity Act.
Representative Schmid is also proud of his support for public safety and securing money for SouthCoast Rail. He says if re-elected he would like to shift his focus to improving opportunities for higher education.
