It’s been a little over three months since businesses have been allowed to fully re-open without the constraints caused by COVID-19. Locally companies have fared well, but still face challenges.
One SouthCoast Chamber co-CEO Michael O’Sullivan says businesses saw a marked improvement in activity from a year ago, but still face the prospect of filling many open positions.
O’Sullivan says businesses hope hiring will pick up now that the extended federal unemployment benefits have ended effective this week. For those seeking a job, the chamber is hosting a job fair next Wednesday, September 15th from 10 am to 3 pm at White’s of Westport.
