Fall River popcorn retailer Inpopnito had the opportunity last week to sell its handmade products on national television shopping channel QVC.
Hall Miller and his wife Pam started Inpopnito in 2013 and have retail locations in Newport and Warwick, RI. He says his connection with QVC came about through a visitor to one of his stores.
Miller says it is a long, arduous process working with officials at QVC to organize the five flavors of popcorn to be sold and then organize with the production staff to get on the air.
QVC committed to selling over 1,600 five popcorn packages, all of which were purchased in short order. Even though Inpopnito has seen steady growth via its retail, online and corporate clientele, handling such a large shipment in a short period of time created some logistical challenges.
Miller says his business survived COVID-19 resulting in a huge increase in online orders. He looks forward to growing the business, with more national television exposure, in 2022.
