A city council committee this week sought an update from the Coogan Administration on the status of hiring a city tourism director.
The call for hiring a tourism director has been made by many a past mayor and city council. Mayor Paul Coogan tells us there is a move for the city to provide support in promoting city tourism opportunities.
In terms of promoting local events to visitors, Mayor Coogan says the city is in the process of updating its website.
