Following a process that took over 20 years, the City of Fall River has broken ground on its development plans for the City Pier on the waterfront.
The project overcame environmental and financial obstacles and within the next year, will provide more waterfront open space for community events.
Lt. Governor Karen Polito was on hand for the groundbreaking and pointed out that the project will open up much-needed economic development opportunities for the city.
