A new approach to a farmers market kicks off this Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm on Old Second Street near Government Center.
Every other Sunday between July 11 and October 17 Fall River will host a farmers and artisan market, combining the sale of local produce with the sale of local products and handicrafts.
The One SouthCoast Chamber, City of Fall River, Viva Fall River, the Fall River Arts and Culture Coalition and Craftyish Shop are sponsoring the series of markets. The hope is that this concept can expand through the fall and beyond.
