This Saturday, U.S. Postal Service offices in Fall River and Somerset will join the rest of the country for its annual Stamp Out Hunger campaign.
The United Way of Greater Fall River is partnering with Blount Fine Foods, St. Anne’s Hospital and BankFive in sponsoring the collection of food items across all carrier routes.
Local carriers say they take pride in helping meet the food security needs of the local community.
Last week residents should have received the green biodegradable bag to fill with nonperishable food. You can leave the bags outside your mailbox to be picked up on Saturday.
