The City of Fall River yesterday officially installed Paul Gauvin as the city’s 16th police chief and also swore in two other officers at a promotional ceremony at Government Center.
Along with Chief Gauvin, Barden Castro was sworn in as deputy chief and David Murphy was sworn in as captain. Following the installation, Chief Gauvin thanked Mayor Paul Coogan for his appointment and said he will use his over 25 years of experience in the FRPD to guide the department forward.
