Families in Fall River are beginning to reap the benefits as more organizations for children are re-opening from the pandemic. Among them is the Children’s Museum of Greater Fall River.
The museum found itself closed from last March through July then again during this past winter’s surge in COVID cases. Executive Director Jo-Anne Sbrega says the museum is now open with COVID capacity limits not hampering the ability to welcome as many children as possible.
The museum has been supported financially during the pandemic through government assitance combined with local corporate and individual donations. Mrs. Sbrega says attendance usually peaks this time of year but COVID limitations at schools have driven down attendance.
Despite the limitations, the children’s museum is preparing a wide schedule of events for those looking for activities during school vacation week.
The Children’s Museum of Greater Fall River is open four days a week, Wednesday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm.
