A federal judge last week ruled in favor of the US Census Bureau in extending work on counting all Americans until the end of this month.
In general, participation in the census has been positive, with above-average self –response rates. But in Fall Fiver, the levels are below that of the last census in 2010…With a self-response rate of 58% compared to 60% ten years ago. Census Regional Director Jeff Behler says that despite those low numbers, census workers are still reaching out, in person, to count all city residents.
Mr. Behler says in the face of concerns over COVID-19 and privacy, people should not be concerned about meeting with official census workers.
If you have yet to interact with the US Census, you can still do so online at 2020census.Gov.
