Bishop Connolly High School will close for good at the end of the month. Last Thursday evening alumni and students were allowed one last goodbye.
The event began with hundreds of supporters attending a Mass of Thanksgiving followed by the opportunity to walk the halls of the 57-year-old high school.
During Mass, school chaplain Father Riley Williams said even after the announcement was made of the school’s closing, the learning continued unabated.
Father Williams went on to question what will be the future of a Catholic high school education in Fall River.
