Bishop Connolly High School will soon become greener after it announced it is working with a Boston-based energy firm to install solar panels on the roof of its Elsbree Street campus.
Bishop Connolly will become the third school within the Diocese of Fall River that will contract with Resonant Energy in constructing the solar panel array.
Principal Kathleen St. Laurent says the school is excited to take part in the project.
The school will also use the installation of solar panels as an educational opportunity for students.
The project is still in the planning stages but will likely start making an impact at the school sometime next year.
