The Argosy Collegiate Charter School begins classes this week building upon its mission of helping scholars gain a leg up on a college education.
The school, which serves children in grades 6-12, has decided that all students and staff will be required to wear masks when classes begin on Wednesday. Executive Director Kristen Pavao says the mandate has not generated much negative feedback.
The school has expanded each year since it began in 2014 and celebrated its first high school graduating class this spring. Pavao says the focus of Argosy Collegiate is its dual enrollment program, introducing scholars to college-level courses and earning college credit. Those dual enrollment opportunities will expand this year.
Students and teachers are looking forward to returning to as normal a learning environment as possible, including co-curricular opportunities.
