Bishop Connolly High School opens its school year on September first with an eye toward safely expanding opportunities for students inside and outside the classroom.
Through the COVID-19 pandemic last year Bishop Connolly employed a hybrid model of in-person and remote learning, rotating between two classes studying at its campus on Elsbree Street while the other two learned remotely.
Principal Kathleen St. Laurent says as it begins its 2021-2022 year everyone will be back in person, following state protocols requiring no masks for students who have been vaccinated.
As the school looks ahead to the new year, a focus will be to expand educational opportunities for students, primarily in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.
The school is also looking forward to offering students a broad range of extra-curricular activities.
