FRCMedia is preparing parents for the new school year by looking at what’s new in our local schools. Today we spotlight Bishop Connolly High School, where classes will begin Wednesday, August 31.
Bishop Connolly High School principal Kathleen St. Laurent is looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year, the first that she hopes will be free of COVID restrictions since March of 2020. She is encouraged that Bishop Connolly’s quality of education is still welcomed by the greater Fall River community.
Ms. St. Laurent says there will be extra attention paid to the incoming freshman class to orient them to high school life and focus on closing any learning gaps created by remote learning during the pandemic.
Connolly will return with a full slate of athletic and other co-curricular activities beginning in the fall, free of COVID restrictions. Academically the school is looking to expand its STEM offerings to current and prospective students.
