The city is gearing up for its annual Veterans Day events next Tuesday.
The kick-off ceremony will take place at 12:30 pm at the War Veterans Monument in Upper Kennedy Park. The parade will step off at 1:00 pm from Kennedy Park down South Main Street to Government Center. A recognition ceremony will follow at Government Center.
This week, student veterans at Bristol Community College held a town hall meeting with state Veterans Affairs Secretary Jon Santiago.
Bristol was designated as a regional host site for a Veterans Day event by the Veterans Affairs National Committee for Veterans Day. Activity on the Fall River campus will begin mid-Tuesday morning.
The event at Bristol is free to attend and open to all.
