Seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates remained the same in eleven labor market areas during the month of November, and went up in 13 other areas of the state. That from statistics recently released from the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development in Boston.

Compared to November 2014, seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates are down in all labor markets measured by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In November 2015, Sevent areas added jobs over the month, with the largest gains in the Boston-Cambridge-Newton, Lowell-Billerica-Chelmsford, Lawrence-Methuen-Salem, Taunton-Middleborough-Norton, Brockton-Bridgewater-Easton, Framingham, and Leominster-Gardner areas.

The Peabody-Salem-Beverly, Pittsfield, and Lynn-Saugus-Marblehead areas had no change in their jobs level over the month while seasonal losses occurred in five remaining areas.

In order to compare the statewide rate to local unemployment rates, the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates the statewide unadjusted unemployment rate for November remained at 4.5 percent.
