According to state police investigating the prom night accident that claimed the life of 18 year old Hannah Raposo, the unidentified passenger in the car with her was wearing a seat belt at the time of the one vehicle roll over.
Authorities believe that the passenger suffered only minor injuries because he was wearing the seat belt. Whether Raposo was wearing one has still not been determined.
The rollover occurred around six p.m. June 3rd while Raposo, who was driving to the BMC Durfee prom, lost control of her car near the exit four ramps of Interstate 195.
Raposo was the grand daughter of former City Councilor Mike Raposo. Police continue to investigate the cause and road conditions at the time of the accident.
