As affordability remains a concern in the city, the United Way of Greater Fall River is helping to fund a myriad of local food pantries to help those in need keep food on the table.
The effort is being bolstered by a generous donation from Mechanics Cooperative Bank and BayCoast Bank.
The United Way’s food grant program is just one way the organization helps in combatting food insecurity in the region.
Food security is one of the tenets the United Way supports in ensuring the economic equity of all residents.
