Massachusetts Governor Charles Baker has appointed two new trustees to serve on the Bristol Community College board.
According to BCC President Jack Sbrega, Attorney Sandra Saunders, co-partner of Saunders & Saunders, LLP in New Bedford and Keith Hovan, President and CEO of the Southcoast Health System and Southcoast Hospitals Group, will be joining the Board in this new year.
“Each brings great knowledge of the educational and workforce needs of southeastern Massachusetts,” President Sbrega said.
Sandra Saunders has been practicing law for 21 years and co-owns Saunders and Saunders, LLP, a general law practice, in New Bedford. Prior to opening a private practice, Sandra spent five years as an Assistant District Attorney in New Bedford, Fall River, and Superior Court. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, she is a strong supporter of public higher education.
Keith Hovan joined the Southcoast Hospitals Group in 2008 as its President and CEO. He became President of the Southcoast Hospitals System in 2010 and added the title of CEO of the Southcoast Hospitals System in 2011. Perhaps more than most, the Southcoast Hospitals Group appreciates the value of BCC in the community, having partnered with us on many occasions to develop some of the regions finest healthcare professionals.
